Rumour to new update impending
I heard from a friend that Kobo will be releasing an update rather quickly to 3.1.0. Is there any truth to that speculation?

This 3.1.0 update has already been released lately. I synced my Kobo Aura HD beginning this week and it was updated to 3.1.0 automatically.

I think what Jack meant was an upgrade OF the recently deployed 3.1.0 to a new version.

And unfortunately, I think the only people with any idea of that would be Kobo Staff, and nothing has been heard from them on this topic.

On Twitter Kobo acknowledged that they are aware of a problem with the new firmware and are working on a fix. Not that difficult to believe that another update will be in the work soonish.

No proof. Kobo has known of serious problems in the past, and it still took months to get a release out of them.

I have just got the update, so I can confirm. Now my Aura is at 3.1.1.
An official changelog page from Kobo would be fun...
