Question output profile questiaon ( sony t2, t3)

the forum software, in its wisdom ) does not allow T2 or T3 as search terms, so if this is already asked & answered I apologise for not being able to find it.

I currently use calibre Sony output profile for my T2, ( same profile that I was using for prs-650 ) but I have a new T3 on order & I see that there's a different output profile for that device.

So I am trying to puzzle out - what will be the practical impact of using the "wrong" output profile i.e. using T3 profile for T2 or vice versa ?

I plan to use both readers in parallel for a while , in order to compare them, & I'd rather not be having to remember to change calibre output prefs every time I connect the "other" reader

Most of the time the profile used is irrelevant in practical use. The main impact is that during conversions images when they are resized use the pixel sizes specified in the current active profile. They still display OK on other resolutions - they are just not optimized in such cases.

If you use Tablet as the output profile no images will be resized during any conversion.
