How to take a Screenshot?
So, I would like to take a screenshot on my Aura to show some differences between stock and custom fonts. On the KPW, all you do is touch the upper left/lower right or upper right/lower left corners simultaneously and a screenshot is saved. That didn't work on the new Aura. Has anyone figured out how to do this?

As far as I know, there is no way to do this in the firmware you are running. There was a way up to FW2.8.1, but Kobo have removed this.

I miss the ease of screenshots also. What I do is either take a photo and straighten it out in my favorite graphic program before uploading, or I scan the reader on my flatbed scanner.

In the .kobo directory on the internal storage, there is a directory Kobo. In that directory, there is a file called Kobo eReader.conf.
Open that file with a text editor (my preference is Notepad++) and look for a header [FeatureSettings]. If you see that header, add a line under it reading Screenshots=true. If you don't see [FeatureSettings} add both lines: [FeatureSettings] Screenshots=true Using the power button will now take a snapshot of the screen. The disadvantage being that you can't use the power button to put your Kobo to sleep or to turn it off. The screenshots will be saved in .png format in the root of the internal drive. Regards, David |

You can take screenshots with your e-readers? Wow, I had no idea.
