One of the nice features of the Kobo is built-in font choices, not to mention the ability to side-load additional fonts. I'm not sure if the Glo, etc., have the same font options as the HD, but the list is from the built-in fonts from my Aura HD.
Before the Kobo, I was a fan of Georgia on my tablet. I'm not sure if it's due to the higher DPI, but I've switched to Amasis and find I like it a little better, while Georgia is my second choice. For what it's worth, I tend to be fussy about fonts. Last edited by ectoplasm; 09-09-2013 at 10:39 AM. |

What Font Do You Use?
Changes all the time; I swap between Amasis and Caecellia for built-in fonts, and lately I've been using Iowan Old Style (paid) and Andada (free) as side loaded fonts.

Font choices
I've been using either Charis SIL or Deja Vu Serif.

I use several of these fonts, and more sideloaded ones. Can only choose one in the poll, so I didn't vote.

In no special order, Malabar/Gothic (for Japanese characters)/Ubuntu/Deja Vu Serif. Mostly the two last ones.

I have been switching it around lately. First I was using Georgia, then Caecilia and now I quite like Amasis!

For serif font fans I do encourage you to check out Gentium. It's a full Unicode font and it's free too. It was put together by a scholar who wanted a touch of the feel of calligraphic writing which is why things like the horizontal bar on the lowercase e is slanted. It's good to my eyes, check it out.
As the years have gone by I have found that some fonts work better on some display device technologies than others. A font will not be equally good on all possible display media types. It all depends. Gentium does work on e-ink though. |

Actually reading either in English or in Russuian I always have "Georgia on my " reader. I probably should vote twice. :-)

Mostly Linux Libertine, which finally works with 2.8.1. Since metazoa's patch makes TypeGenius work on sideloaded fonts, I increase the weight a tiny bit.
Sometimes Georgia. |

I keep switching, but always seem to come back to Kobo Nickel. I enjoy its "retro" look.
