Formatting Nook Color Image Sizes

I'm formatting a book with a large amount of pictures. It looks pretty good but the bottom and right sides of images get cut off a bit when I size to the size of the screen. Is there some magic number I should max my images at?

img {max-height:99%; max-width:99%}

in your CSS.
