I came to the sudden conclusion that ebooks could never replace physical books
Well the picture says it all.

I wish there was a great story as to why I was jumping on my bed, but there isn't. Suffice to say I found I needed a stop gap solution to suspend my bed while I repair the wooden beam that supported it.

Not a great story, but there is always the spider excuse.

example 1 (caught jumping on bed): I was trying to kill a spider on the ceiling and couldn't reach it...

i was reading this and expecting someone to put a picture up of a load of kindles under a wonky table leg.

You cant beat the feel of a paper book but no one would be able to prise my kindle from my hands, i love it.

I would just smile and say the hubs and I were having wild monkey sex. That would shut our kids up. LOL (they are 19 and 21)

True story, we actually broke a bed at my aunt's house once, and she slept through it, thank goodness.

When I was first married, the family traveled to a wedding and stayed in a block of hotel rooms. My mother happened to get the room next to mine and we opened the door in between so that my oldest could go back and forth.

I'm in my room jumping on the bed and my kid is in my mother's room jumping on her bed. We can see each other through the open door, but my mother can only see him and scolds him, "act your age." The three year old WTF look I got was priceless. I kept jumping until she thought to look through the door, "Act YOUR age," she scolded.

what i would probably miss from physical books is that they can be a conversation starter when someone sees your shelves and inquires about them. it's a way to subtly get to know another person through observation
