Flashman Series

Anyone ever seen the Flashman series by George MacDonald Fraser in ebook format, preferably readable on a Sony 505?

I've only seen the last two books of the series out as eBooks. It really is a shame when you find only bits and pieces of a series out in eBook format. It means that if the pbooks are not available, why would you bother then reading a series that you'll never finish or never get to read in its entirety?

Where have you seen those two, JSWolf? I've tried the Sony and Fictionwise sites with no luck

In fact I just checked and they are on both the Sony and Fictionwise sites. Must have used the wrong search criteria the last time.

Thanks JSWolf

FLASHMAN

CASSIDYM; I got the Flashman Series in HTML and then converted it for Sony. They are great.

Hi JF'SSONY and thanks for the note. Where did you get the HTML versions?

I've read the entire series apart from the last two which are on my wish list. I think my favorite is Flashman at the Charge although they are all very interesting.

If I can get my hands on the whole series, I'll convert them and load them on my reader as they are worth the occasional re-read.

Also, have you read 'The Reavers' which was George MacDonald Fraser's last book before he died this year?

I realise this is an old thread but I love these books and would like to know if there has been any improvement on availability. I'd also love to have a copy of Quartered Safe Out Here as I love history (Flashman books are great for combining entertainment with education).

Anyone found a retailer for the Flashman novels on ebook? I'm halfway through reading them on paper.

They are all great books, but Quartered Safe Out Here isn't part of the Flashman series.

I've got every one in the *Flashman* series in treebook and read them all several times. Great stuff. I didn't realise there were any legally available in ebook form. Obviously, I was wrong. Must take a look around and come back here with what I discover. Tophole, chaps. Neil

Harry wasn't saying that it was. He said that, in addition to the Flashman series, he'd also like an eBook version of Quartered Safe Out Here (which is, of course, an account of George Macdonald Fraser's wartime experiences in Burma).

Indeed - I missed the word 'also'. My apologies.

The Reavers, another non-Flashman book, is available from Sony.

I assume the Sony book store ones are DRMed and not Kindle friendly? Never mind... just bought a tree book of Quartered Safe Out Here...

I think we are in the chicken/egg phase of the transition whereby if you have wide-ish (have I invented a word) tastes and a massive hunger for books then you need to graze on tree and e.
