Calibre won't convert to ePub
Help! I'm trying to convert my book to upload it at Barnes & Noble. I've never had trouble, but today, although I can convert a filtered html file to other formats, all I get out of the epub conversion is a cover and blank pages. The file is two pages long.
Anyone know if this is a glitch in the latest version, which I just downloaded yesterday. Any help GREATLY appreciated, as I prefer (until now) using Calibre to get the epub rather than B&N's Pubit software. |

I suggest cleaning out the garbage in the filtered Word HTML and then trying again. If it still doesn't work, file a bug.

Don't know the answer, but I've had exactly the same problem with Kindle files. I only started to use this a few days ago; about 1/3 of the books were fine, but the other 2/3 gave me the cover and a blank page.

I seem to have solved my problem. I reinstalled Calibre plus plugins, and everything seems to be working fine now. Books that had only cover + 1 page are now entire. I haven't checked every one of them yet, but so far, so good.

Silly question, but have you tried upgrading to the latest version? 0.8.51 from last week fixed a bug in 0.8.50 that sounds exactly like what you're running into.

You say other formats work. Have you tried converting the Mobi file (assuming you made one) to ePub instead of the filtered HTML.

Thanks -- problem ended up being a very strange style setting. Don't know how it got there, because I'd never heard of it, but once I found it and removed it, everything worked.
