Can you export specific Authors from a Library?

If I have one library and wanted to create a separate Library, that contained only one author from the main library, can I do this in calibre?

Try this

Create new library
In existing library, select all books by author
Right click and select "copy to library" and select your new library
Optionally: when sure what you wanted has happened, remove books from initial library
