Hi, I'm fairly new to kindle ebooks. Can anybody tell me if I can move books from my library to my archives folder once read?

Are these books bought from Amazon? If so with the book underlined 'left click' with the 5-way controller on your Kindle 4 and it will let you delete the book. Once the book is deleted it will "move" to your archived items.
