Missing Titles

Hoping some can help with this. I have obviously done something dreadful to Calibre but not sure what. If I send a book to my Kindle it transfers and reads OK but instead of the title it shows the word "series" although looking at the device in Calibre the title show up in the correct place.

Now I thought I would check whether or not it was the reader so I sent a book to my old PRS 600 and not only did it put "series" in as the title of the book I just sent it has changed every other title to "series", not good. Again if I look at the device in Calibre all seems well.
I would add that I have changed nothing in preferences (that I know of) since I started using Calibre

Not at all sure what is going on but help would be really appreciated.

You probably created a metadata plugboard. Go to preferences->metadata plugboards and remove it.

Had another look at things and set all import/export preferences to default, there was stuff in the Metadata Plugboards, how it got there no idea from an update perhaps, but removing that solved the problem. Phew
