It wont be done before 1:00. These days some applications have started using the gpu for faster processing maybe calibre could do that to increase its conversion speed.

That only works for stuff that can be easily made parallel (e.g. video processing, password cracking, etc). I'm not so sure ebook conversion is one of those.
