downloading any epubs to T1 other than from reader store
Hello,
did anybody have success downloading using the browser? I tried several sites to download an non-DRM epub and I keep getting same message: Cannot download. The content is not supported on the Reader. Any ideas. Anybody able to download from the Calibre Webserver? thanks Martin |

The T1 web browser is picky.
The calibre content server probably don't identify content in the request properly. Basically, the server send back the ePub, but identify it as something else. Last edited by EowynCarter; 11-03-2011 at 11:43 AM. |

I can do this with my hacked T1, so it's certainly possible.

Maybe because it's hacked. I had to add a line of code on my own program, so the ePub was properly identified, by the T1 as well as Firefox. For firefox, it just change the "open with" menu, for the T1 it gets the "content is not supported on the Reader" error.

I've downloaded lots of things without a problem, until yesterday.
See this thread https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=155712 My investigation so far seems to indicate that the T1 is picky about time stamps. My normal way of getting content on the reader is through Dropbox, which has worked so far even with the files I can't download directly from the site. |

Yes, though I generally find it easier just to plug it in.

I have my books in a Dropbox.com folder (since I sometimes edit some EPUB files on my PC) and d/l them from the Dropbox.folder with the T1 browser - no problem so far.

The T1 I bought for my mom is not rooted. I have tested downloading books from dropbox, the calibre content server and a couple of bookstores, I think Kobo and Feedbooks public domain and they all worked. I could not download books from an e-mail but since the other ways worked, I'm okay with that.

Since I already have most of my books on a separate file server, I started a basic web server to let my reader browse to the books.
I initially had the same problem when trying to download the books.... "Cannot download content not supported". I fixed this by changing the MIME type for epubs on the webserver to "application/epub+zip" |
