Please help. New Kindle not working.

I am a newbie, just bought my Kindle today. I brought it home, plugged it in to my USB and turned it on. It came up fine and I went in to settings, turned the wireless on and went to register my device. I signed in, it went through most of the application, says that it is my Kindle at the top but now it has a little box that says, "Unable to start application. The selected application could not be started. Please try again." I have tried pressing the close button, turning it off, etc. Nothing is working and it hasn't moved from this page. Any help would be appreciated.

Push the Start button and hold it for one whole minute. It should reboot. If not try it again.

If nothing works, give it an overnight charge and then hold the Start button again for one minute.

Thanks! That worked! It shut off and came back up without the little box. Thanks so much for your help
