From time to time when I convert an epub to epub with Calibre, the line spacing, margins, and justification change. I have tried turning off Kobo Styling in settings on the KT and played around around with margins, etc, but with no luck. Any suggestions?

I'm not totally sure what you mean, when you convert the book does it stop being able to change line spacing, margins, and fonts?

Yes. After the conversion, I can no longer change font, line spacing, etc.

One way to fix the problem is to delete the CSS file from the ePub. To do that, you can change the extension from epub to zip, double click on the zip file, delete any file with the extension css, close the zip file, then change the extension back to epub.

Of course, there may be easier ways.

I wonder if there is a way to remove the css file from within Calibre. Perhaps with a plugin?

What version are you using? (I've got 0.8.30) When you convert go to 'Look and Feel'. There will be a tab above the white box called Filter Style Information. Click it. Then check all the boxes (Fonts, Margins, Padding, Floats, Colors). That'll remove all those things from the CSS.

I am using 0.8.3.1

Don't see any Filter Style tab in Look and Feel.

Okay, just upgraded. Everything is still there. But I suppose I'm not the best at giving directions so here's a pic.

I've been having problems with margins since I bought my kobo touch. I never knew this feature existed in calibre! Will try it next time I convert.
