Problem with ebooks after ermine upgrade

Hi all. I just upgraded my pocket edge to Ermine and downloaded an epub from my local library into the download storage folder. When I try to open it it says it is protected and says please activate the edge with adobe via the settings menu. The ebook wont open and I'm lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After more reading... is this a simple matter of being logged onto the internet and registering with adobe through their website?

If you connect the USB cable from your Edge to your PC and open ADE, it will see it and ask if you want to authorize it. Click yes and you'll see it added as the last item under Bookshelves on the left. Then you can just choose the book and drag it onto 'Edge' and it loads onto your PE.

Thanks, You're awesome! Worked great, LOL once I figured out where to find the books on my PE. How does the library thing work. I downloaded a couple for 2 weeks. Do they automatically delete then or just stop working? Sorry for the Newbie questions.

Expired library books don't automatically delete, but once the license expires will no longer open. You'll have to manually delete them from ADE on your PC and from the library on your Edge (go to Library then Books then tap the 'checkmark' icon at the top and you can choose which book to delete.
