Just got my EE in from Ebay..

Wow, two days from Texas to Michigan. I was so excited. Right now I haven't did anything but start it up but it looks good. No scratches etc.. the e-ink running version 1.6 is tons smoother then the PE had been. For you EE owners, is writing smooth under 2.2 beta? Well, time to put a slightly used PE up for sale. |

hmm..It seems perfect but the battery doesnt seem to be charging....well this could prove a problem with there being no replacement batteries... Well it wen from 1 to 3% just now but I had it plugged up for at least an hour before I pulled it off the charger. Maybe it was on good. I took the battery out and popped it back in. I'll see what happens. How long does it normally take to charge? Last edited by Synergi; 08-05-2011 at 06:34 PM. |

Charging usually takes an hour or so (sometimes less). I remember taking the battery out and putting it in the freezer for awhile was the solution to a lot of problems with the EE. I doubt it would fix the cruddy bettery, but anything is worth a try. My condolences though, I hope your EE battery perks up

Success! 100% charge, I guess the battery wasn't snapped in good or something.

Synergi, if your EE was a new one check that there isn't any plastic protector in the battery compartment. Mine came with a plastic strip that had to be removed before charging.

And I also have the "last stroke doesn't show up until you write another new stroke" issue, but that started just before I upgraded to 2.2, so I don't think it's because of the upgrade. You'll notice that, even at 1.6, the writing may lag behind a bit (often depends on how complicated your background screen is, the pdf or whether you choose blank, lined, graph paper etc.). You just have to train yourself to keep going, trusting that it will in fact capture every stroke. Usually it does.
