Just got my EE in from Ebay..

Wow, two days from Texas to Michigan. I was so excited. Right now I haven't did anything but start it up but it looks good. No scratches etc..

the e-ink running version 1.6 is tons smoother then the PE had been. For you EE owners, is writing smooth under 2.2 beta?

Well, time to put a slightly used PE up for sale.

As smooth as you will get it. Occasionally the last vector I made will not show up until I start writing the next letter, but other than that there are no complains what-so-ever.

hmm..It seems perfect but the battery doesnt seem to be charging....well this could prove a problem with there being no replacement batteries...

Well it wen from 1 to 3% just now but I had it plugged up for at least an hour before I pulled it off the charger. Maybe it was on good. I took the battery out and popped it back in. I'll see what happens.

How long does it normally take to charge?

Sorry to hear that

Charging usually takes an hour or so (sometimes less). I remember taking the battery out and putting it in the freezer for awhile was the solution to a lot of problems with the EE. I doubt it would fix the cruddy bettery, but anything is worth a try. My condolences though, I hope your EE battery perks up

Thanks Mokel, Its up to 20% now so I'm just going to let it charge to 100% then see if its ok. Maybe the battery wasn't engaged, who knows. Hopefully I was jumping the gun..

Success! 100% charge, I guess the battery wasn't snapped in good or something.

LOL, ok what is chain-fire?

Now I'll factory restore my PE and stiick it up on ebay..so glad I got the bigger one.

Chain-fire-3d is a graphics enhancer app that bricked my EE today. It is restored and back to normal now, but I'm not going to risk it again.

Synergi, if your EE was a new one check that there isn't any plastic protector in the battery compartment. Mine came with a plastic strip that had to be removed before charging.

Smooth and fast, yes! The whole thing will just run faster under 2.2

And I also have the "last stroke doesn't show up until you write another new stroke" issue, but that started just before I upgraded to 2.2, so I don't think it's because of the upgrade.

You'll notice that, even at 1.6, the writing may lag behind a bit (often depends on how complicated your background screen is, the pdf or whether you choose blank, lined, graph paper etc.). You just have to train yourself to keep going, trusting that it will in fact capture every stroke. Usually it does.

I do seem to have that hibernation issue. I'm returning this one and getting one of the 149 buy it now's on ebay. To good to pass up. Other then the hibernation issue, the inking has been very smooth. I mean its night and day compared to the PE. The PE lagged all over the place and I couldn't get close to the edges like I can with the EE. Very happy, even happier my seller is a large company with 30 days money back, even happier I got a new one ordered for 149.. my PE sell should cover most of it and I won't have to feel guilty I spent so much money. Woot!
