FYI, I have stylus similar to that one, with the rubber like tip. When I compare it with my Pogo stylus, the Pogo foam tip is not as satisfying a feel, so I also wanted the rubber tip to be better. But when writing in a note taking app, I found Pogo better.
My comparison was NOT with a Targus branded stylus, however, so this may or may not be relevant. The reason I write this note is to provide some balance. Especially because if you look at the video, you'll see that he appears sold on it before he wrote (similar to my feelings when I tried a rubber tipped stylus). Once he wrote, it was mostly about how it felt, and again I experienced the same thing when I tried mine. But when I compared its ability to write, it just wasn't as good. The tell tale sign for me was that I had to write bigger and more carefully than with the Pogo. I got the same impression on the video. For example, his accidentally shown previous note appeared to have smaller lettering and was neat. The new one looked bigger and maybe sloppier. $5 for the Targus branded stylus is a great deal - hard to resist even if just to give it a try. But like I said, I just wanted to provide another viewpoint because it may not be as much of a slam dunk over he Pogo sylus as the video would imply. Anyone out there have a Targus stylus, who can provide any additional info? |

I have one. I bought it for my Nook Color. Results were... mixed. Swiping registered very poorly (if at all), but single touch registered... okay. Problem is that the tip is very big, so it's not really very useful for "precision" touch. Since precision is what I want a stylus for, it ended up living in the bottom of my book bag for the most part.
Still, for $5, I'd encourage people to try it out. |
