AN OLD NEWBIE

Hello All,

1.I am from Bangalore India, and am 65 years old retired person.Obviously lot of time at hand.Thankfully I do like reading a lot. I like SF,Horror(Stephen King only),Suspense etc.I have qute a lot of Ebooks in Lit,Epub and Mobi formats.I however found that I cannot sit on a chair and read books on the Desktop for long period.

2. I therefore took a plunge and ordered a Sony PRS 300 EReader through Ebay.The Device has arrived just now and I have commenced charging it through USB Port.Am a man of modest means and hence scared that I donot damage this inadvertantly

3. I will be posting my queries On the Sony Reader Thread and will be grateful for your answers.

Good to have your company, Manju. Once you find your way around the book world, you'll soon find that Steve King -- master of the genre that he might be -- is by no means the only game in Horrortown. Happy e-reading and very best wishes. Neil

Yes, welcome to MR! Do not hesitate to post your questions on the Sony subforums here. Many excellent, helpful people around MR and I am sure your every question can be answered.

Congrats on the Sony - enjoy! As a fellow King lover, I agree he is fantastic, but as NeilMarr indicates, there are a ton of excellent, scary writers out there

You can always ask for recommendations...
