One way of doing that would be to use
adb shell su rm /system/app/MineSweeper.apk But, I'm not resposible for anything. Besides, it won't do you any good: you ain't going to save much. Last edited by ptsenter; 07-13-2011 at 12:36 PM. |

I tried to get rid of an app or two early on for the same reason.
![]() There are other apps that do similar desktop arranging, but this one does it for contacts and bookmarks too. Anyway, maybe something like that will take away the immediate need to remove those pesky unused programs. ![]() |

Sounds like a good alternative, I'll look into doing that. |

Titanium Backup FTW!
You'll need to root your device, but Titanium Backup is the greatest thing since Snickers ice cream bars. |

Vegan Tab Launcher (VTL) has program catalogs built in
I started using the vegan tab launcher a while back on my gtablet, which has a similar tagging and display system as mentioned above for apps in the drawer. It's a free launcher which is far superior to the stock one, is designed for (pre honeycomb) tablets, and works perfectly on my PE - check it out.
The "catalogue" system is a bit difficult to figure out at first but once you have it down it's awesome. http://vegantab.gojimi.com/vt-labs/vtl-launcher/ |

I downloaded "Apps Organizer" form amazon and it does about the same as far as I can tell.
The Test Drive" on amazon sure helps learning the application. |

Glad you found that one, Turtlehead! I tried it on my EE, very similar to Smart Shortcuts. It just doesn't categorize as many things for you. Remedy, thanks for the suggestion. I might give that a try, although I'm a bit of a stick-in-the-mud type -- if I find something that works I'm not likely to switch, even though something else might be better. ![]() |
