new nook color ver. 1.2.0

Just brought the nook color version 1.2.0. It will not find my home wireless wifi, but all of the others networks around my home it finds, (they are all secured networks). I have setup homegroups before but a nook is new to me. How can I get it to recongize my home wifi?

By any chance would your network happen to be ad-hoc? The nook HAYTESES ad-hoc networks. It refuses to aknowledge them. There is a hack, but I'm almost certain it requires rooting.
Also, you can try and download an alternate Android OS (Like Nookie Gingerbread or Cyanogen Mod 7.03), then install it on an SD card just to see if your nook can see your network (heck, you may like it better than 1.2.0. I love CM7 on my Droid original).

Even if your nookColor does not see the network, you can input the details and see if that helps things along. That's what you would do with a hidden (i.e., not broadcasting) network.
