360 Plus on sale for 113 $

I am so tempted but the 5" might be a bit small for me (pdf). I have already had 602 and I am happy.

of course it is a personal thing, but with my PB360 I thought I would use it only as a backup for PDF files, while in fact I was pleasantly surprised when reading textbooks or scientific articles on it (it is definitely more portable than the 903) by the readability. It wouldn't be my first choice for pdf reading, but the 360 is incredibly portable, and I think it could be used for pdfs too. As I said, though, it is a personal thing, and if you find yourself "just comfortable" with teh 602, perhaps it is not a good idea. It is a killer price, by the way!

Cheaper than the predecessor 360. That's funny.
Anyway, as the 360+ makes relatively loud clicks on page turning, this is not a good choice for those of us who like to read in bed and are not single.
(Also goes for the 360; a nuisance that is generally acknowledged but nevertheless unattended to in the new device. Pity)

They sell older model for 169 EURO!!! at
http://pocketbook.de/products/pocketbook-360/
http://www.my-ebook-reader.eu/ereader/pocketbook/

and this site:
http://www.pocketbook-shop.de/index....emid=6&lang=en
has no shame in selling THE OLD MODEL for 169 EURO!!! with text: "You save 70Eur." (against old imaginary price 239Eur.)

And USA based sites are specifically forbidden to sell to Europe.
PocketBook is produced by Ukrainian company and manufactured in China. Go figure.

I am not going to comment further, because then my comment would have to be moderated to remove lots and *lots* of colorful swearwords.

I think PB suffers from a severe stroke of Apple Disease. Whereas perhaps beneficial in the short term to huge companies, this disease is usually rapidly lethal to others. And in the long run to all.

thankfully there is the FBreader180 for that - but really, the pricing makes no sense at all, and even if from the US they could sell to us in Europe, the delivery charges are really very very high (I think it is aound $78 from Dulin). Sadly, same story for the Pro

Trying not to go for deals but needs. I normally read my pdf (or djvu) books in 130%-140% size which fits the landscape 6" perfectly. I used a ruler to see how much I could get on a 5"- I guess maybe 110%

You are right. I guess 903 might be a bit too heavy for reading in bed or carrying around. 113 is a killer price.

The industries are always rational -- profit-driven no matter what they sell: device, functionality or the feeling of being trendy and "creative". Sadly consumers are often not rational.

A'rational' company does not let it's clients down. Sadly PB does.

All companies' reason is "profit". They "care" about consumers when there is enough profit as they expected.

Well this is just a "Memorial Day Weekend Sale" Price. it will go back up in a couple days. Im not taking advantage of the better pricing because my margin would be too slim. its very small already

Our Normal shipping price to Europe is $45 . That $78 is for EXPRESS UPS shipping and its in addition to the normal shipping rate. I dont make anything extra on shipping, merely pass along my cost.

Consumers are the road to profit; you simply don't fool with them or you will go down in the end. Bon voyage PB.

Those in Europe who want to take advantage of this offer can use Borderlinx or USUnlocked.

You are right. I guess 903 might be a bit too heavy for reading in bed or carrying around. 113 is a killer price.
On this I can confirm it gets to 115% - at least on one book, perhaps it depends on the original page format (miy documents are generally A4), if you are interested I can check a few more books. I have also read djvu books after "brissing", but in that case I am not sure what percentage zoom it corresponds to (again, I presume it depends on the original margins - surely though passing your books through Briss is the most efficient way to fit the widest text)

As for the 903, for me is not weight (and it reads very comfortably in bed, on your lap), but size and the fact that I have not yet found a good cover. So I am terrified at the idea of breaking it while carrying it around in an overpacked backpack! So the rare times I took it with me (before I got also the 360) I put it in a separate "dedicated" bag which I handled as if it were fragile eggs - too much trouble, really, especially when lugging around with other luggage, until I get a proper cover and additional protective case - yes I know I am paranoid

Does the click really bother you THAT much? It has never bothered me or my husband who sleeps quite comfortably while I read. The noise is definitely quieter than turning the page of a traditional paper book.

When I was first researching readers, the complaints about the clicking noise nearly put me off the PB360. I'm so glad I didn't let other peoples' opinions change my mind.

I admit it would be great if the buttons were a little less firm to the touch, and from memory from a review that has happened in the 360+. I'm keeping my eye on the thread to see how it holds up.

$113US is a great price for it. Sadly, when I went to check it out there are only options for US and Canadian shipping. Although, I'm sure that's where I bought my original 360 from.
