Fun use for email to Kindle3

I'm sure it's been done but I was tickled that I thought of it.
I have a lot of collections with series and a lot of the time I can't remember which book is next.
Just made some fun lists with the books in order, emailed them to the Kindle and added them to each series collection.

That's a good idea for longer series. I do something similar with my tbr/wishlist and list of all my ebooks.

Any chance of letting me know how to add those lists to your series collection? Actually now I think about it, I think I get you, but would love confirmation...

My kindle is two days old and it's been a fun ride sorting it all out!

That's a pretty good idea. I'll have to give it a whirl.

I did that with both the Honor Harrington series and the Vorkosigan series, except I added them via Calibre instead of emailing them.

No need to email them, either. I copy .txt files with series lists to the Kindle all the time. I even have a little program to wrap text at the right number of characters, if I have descriptions, etc. in the files, so they will look nice on the Kindle.

That's a great idea! I've been using the NotePad app from 7 Dragons to keep track of the book order.

I just change the name of the book in Calibre to include which number it is in the series. Then load from Calibre to Kindle. Finally a way to keep 'em straight!

I use the plugboards option in Calibre to automatically add the series info to the book's title when I save to my dropbox using the save to disk option.

I don't know if you can do this with Amazon bought books though?
