Send to device icon
Hi, my name is Helen and I am technologically challenged! When I downloaded Calibre, I downloaded books in pdf format and a collection for Kindle. I converted them and dropped them into itunes. The pdf books appeared in my ibooks, but the Kindle collection wasn't accepted, with the message that they weren't a recognised 'podcast', even though the suffix was epub. So I checked the FQ&A the user manual and changed my preferences ... the 'send to device' icon disappeared and was replaced with the donate icon. I then reset the preferences but the icon remained the same. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still the send to device icon was gone.
Can anyone please tell me how I can get it back to the original format? |

 Welcome to Mobileread …. For kindle the suffix should be AZW not epub .... If there is a 'problem' with Calibre you may not have completely uninstalled  You may find the answer in the Calibre Forum ... Have you seen The Apple Forum ? |

Hi Peaky:
Sounds like you lost your 'shared connection' to iTunes. I've had that problem before and have found that if I close Calibre, and open iTunes and then reopen Calibre, I am able to connect to iTunes again and the 'send to device' icon reappears. Hope that helps. Cheers |
