I paid 183€ (german import sales tax included) for a Kindle 3G.

You can go through the ordering process on amazon.co.uk and get a final price before confirming - which gives you a chance to pull-out of the order before putting your credit card details in.

Actually I checked amazon.com before as you suggested, but it says some additional cost may occur after purchase. It is probably about taxes.
