A few questions about PB-602

I have read the 602 manual, some threads here and on a Russian forum but I couldn't find information on a few questions. Could anyone give me a hand please?

1) How many options does one have in zooming? Any percentage in a certain range is Okay?

2) Do the instant dictionaries work in texts of landscape mode?

3) To confirm: Do pre-installed dictionaries in ALL languages provide pop-up explanations? (selecting words by moving the cursor) This Russian dictionary pop-up function is the major reason I choose PB!

4) Do customized additional dictionaries (even self-converted ones like Chinese-Chinese) work exactly as factory-installed ones? ---Including select and pop-up translations instead of "type and search"?

5) To confirm, the instant look-up dictionary function works in texts of ALL text-based formats, right?

6) Do the read-by-column setting work in both landscape and portrait modes? The setting divide a page into four sections. What if a page is long? Does it automatically fit the width of the column and divide the page into, let's say, 6 sections?

7) Do the dictionaries work the same way on web-pages/RSS news as in text-based e-books?

8) With the G-sensor, the text will rotate automatically. So one basically can't read in bed on his/her side, right? Is it possible to disable the G-sensor?

I mostly read regular fictions and text-based PDF files without graphics and drawings -- humanities and social science books. So I'd like to know if 602's screen is enough to read comfortably if I cut the margins with adobe program and use the landscape mode.

Thank you.

The accelerometer will rotate the screen to landscape automatically. You can disable the accelerometer if you choose to rotate the screen manually.

The 602 does a pretty good job of reflowing most text .pdf files. Honestly, if you are going to be reading a lot of .pdfs I suggest going with a the 902. It will be worth it.

Thank you, v1k1ng1001. I knew the 902 would do a better job with pdf files but the price is not my only concern. It weighs 530 g (1.2 pounds). I have a device (similar to the 701) that weighs 480 g. Honestly, the weight and grab made reading less pleasant. Do people hold the big 902 with both hands or put it on a desk?

I am curious to know the quality of PocketBook as well. Is it more reliable than Kindle 3? I ordered Kindle 3 but canceled the order the next after reading the negative reviews on Amazon website. I estimated at least 10% of the kindle 3 freeze or crash very often. It is not always the cover that causes the problem. (Plus, people on a Russian forum say it doesn't support pop-up in Russian text.) My internet device mentioned above retired after 2 months. Not a big problem -- the charge slot became loose -- but I couldn't fix it by myself, very frustrating. Pocketbook has two year warranty. That is another reason I am considering it in addition to the Russian dictionary support. I would buy the Sony 950 for the 7" and build if it supports Russian dictionaries.

I emailed one CS center in Kiev, asking about the Russian pop-up translation function in PocketBook. Haven't got reply yet.

Library can't open after changing book titles

I connected 602 to my laptop with USB cord and changed some book titles (deleted the Chinese characters that don't show properly). Now I can't open the library by clicking it.
