Calibre Got Error(123,'DeleteFile') Message.

Hi.
I would like to change some info of my comics mobi.
So i click "Edit metadata" and change the "Title" and "Author".
When i done and click "OK". The error message showing up:

Is it any problem? I don't get it.

Make sure your calibre library folder is in some simple and short path, like

c:\library

with only english characters and total length no more than 70 characters.

OK!I fix it. Thank you!
Now i can edit metadata with no error message but i got other problems.
When i finished convert books and the new mobi file with no cover, blurry resolution, image size not same with old mobi file, white pages between pages. It's totaly diffrent with old file. Is somthing went wrong? My output profile already select "Tablet". (I don't wanna change anything in addition to the Titles.All i want to do is change "Title" and "Author".) Thank you!

You don't need to convert a book in order to change the metadata. Just resend the book to your deivce and it will have the new metadata.

It doesn't work. When I already done the "Edit metadata" and connect my KPW
and click "Send to main memory". I turn on my paperwhite saw the cover is here and the title was what i want. But the resolution got blurry and so many white page between every pages.

Use the original, good MOBI. change the metadata in calibre and resend it, do NOT reconvert it.

The title and author should be updated, but the cover will not be (only AZW3 supports updating the cover anyway).
As no conversion is done, there cannot possibly be any white pages between each page, unless they were already in the conversion source.
Which... if you converted it as you said you did in post #3, then maybe there are.

Blank pages in the ebook are wrong, and if I had a book like that I would edit the book to fix it.
That is beyond many peoples' skillset though.

I was change the metadata and send to Device.
The name on the list is what i want but when i click view in device on calibre
and nothing change.

Ah, a dual-MOBI.

It has both KF8 and mobi7 sections, and your Paperwhite automatically uses the KF8 section.


Unfortunately, calibre does not support updating the KF8 metadata of a dual-MOBI (it's complicated).
Use KindleUnpack or the linked calibre plugin to break it apart into its component AZW3 and MOBI, then send the AZW3.
