PRS-600 950 pages in computer 1 page in PRS600

In January 2010 I got William Manchester's American Cearar from the Sony store. I checked it in the computer and everthing seemed fine.

Last week I decided to transfer it to my reader. Again everthing seemed fine until I tried to read it.

The reader only had one page of text. I deleted it from the reader and transferred it again. Then I got page error.

The book is fine in the computer but to be sure I decided to get it again from the reader store and see what would happen. The store now says it's unavailable.

Has anyone had a similar problem? Has anyone got a fix?

Hi, havingbeen. Do all of the rest of your books from Sony work fine on your ereader? If so, then it is most likely that this particular book is not formatted properly for your Sony. It does happens although very rarely. I have had one book like you describe, ok on the computer but not ok on the Sony. I would contact the Sony store, explain the problem and request a refund.

The fact that this book is no longer available through the Sony Store might suggest that the publisher was told to correct it due to errors. I would call Sony and complain. They are known to give credit for bad books. Occasionally you will get a bad one.
