Reading PDF on the PocketBook
This tutorial should help reading pdf-files on the PocketBook.
There are two viewers to read pdffiles with on the PocketBook. 1) AdobeViewer 2) pdfviewer To choose between those you have to select a pdffile and hold the centerbutton for 3 seconds. There will popup a context menu here you have to choose "Open with" and select one Viewer. The difference between AdobeViewer and pdfviewer consists on the zoomfactor. Adobeviewer displays the the font greater than the pdfviewer in normal zoommodus. ![]() (AdobeViewer) ![]() (pdfviewer) The screenshots shows the same file and same page in normal zoom 100% this is the standard setting. To change the zoomsetting, press the center button (not working on 302!) and click on the magnifying glass. With left/right you can choose between the zoomsettings. With the buttons up/down you can change the zoomfactor. In Reflow its exactly reverse to the normal zoom. ![]() (AdobeViewer,Reflow 200%) ![]() (pdfviewer,Reflow 200%) The setting "fit to width" is looking like this: ![]() (Adobeviewer, fit to width) ![]() (pdfviewer, fit to width) Additional there is a tabular overview of the recent 4 pages. Also you can choose an extra zoom for columns (you can set the numbers of columns with the up/down button) While reading pdf you can browse for/backwards with the CenterPad. Of course you can also do this job with the wingbuttons. Holding the Pad for a longer time you can browse 10 pages at once. You should use the Pad in the zoom, if a page isn't completely displayed (down). A dashed line shows exactly where the last view of the page has ended. Its possible to jump to a page by number through the quickmenu. Also the content of the book is placed here, so as the dictionary. If you are using the dictionary you can choose the word to be translated with the pad (if the pdf is formatted as text). |
