Two Reader Household

Just bought my husband a PRS650 for his bday. I have a PRS600. Before I mess up my memory stick, or ebook collections, etc. any suggestions of how to share/transfer books I already own to his reader?

First thing is to authorise his 650 on your account if you wish to transfer purchased books with DRM unless you intend to have separate accounts in which case you won't be able to share such books... Non-DRM'd books can just be copied over from your computer...

There's only two downsides I can see to sharing your account with your hubby.
  1. He'll really know how much you're spending on ebooks!
  2. Unless your tastes are in sync, he'll probably give you grief about all the [romance / vampires / whatever] books you like!

Also, if one of you gives the other a gift card, Sony's default is to always debit the gift card rather than give you an option to purchase the book and leave your gift card credit untouched. So he might use up your gift card balance without knowing!
