USB Cable doesn't fit?

I just bought a kobo and opened it to find out the mini usb cable won't go in the kobo at all!!! Has this happened to anyone else? The kicker is that I bought it at a borders 2 hours from home and there are no orders in my town. Do you think Kobo would send a new mini usb cable?

the USB cable goes in "upside down" .. kwim?

The only way to know if Kobo will send one out is to ask. I couldn't wait that long and would hop over to my nearest discount store and pick one up (probably ~$6). Then you'd have a spare. I seem to have a dozen of them for some reason, but mail to you from Canada would take considerably more time.
