Threat Detected by AVG
Just wanted to pass this along. I've been using Calibre for a while now and just recently got this warning from AVG:
Running Windows 7 64 Bit |

AVG does generate a lot of false positives.

I know it's a Trojan, just reporting that it's being detected

Calibre is not a virus or a trojan. What you have is a false positive.

I get a lot of error messages - don't trust the publisher, wants to use the internet, blah, blah, blah. I get more error messages with Calibre because I use Calibre more often than any other program except IE.
I use McAfee |

I use Comodo and it doesn't bother me about Calibre and if it does, I can tell it to trust it and it does. So all is good. Unlike programs such as AVG, Norton, McAfee which through up all kinds of warnings and even if you say yes this is correct, they can still do it.

I use malwarebytes pro ( & MSE); neither have ever complained about calibre - not ever!

I use AVG Free, and I've never had a report about calibre. I'm using the latest calibre.

calibre recently moved to downloading metadata in the worker process calibre-parallel.exe. If you use calibre to download metadata for a number of books, AVG detects calibre-parallel.exe making lots of connections to the internet and assumes it must be doing something malicious. Such are the perils of anti-virus programs.
