Kobo stylus 2/Tolino stylus

When I compare the pictures of both styluses, it seems to me that they are identical and it is the same device, only branded with appropriate logo. Am I right? Does anyone have experience using the tolino stylus on a kobo? I found a cheap tolino stylus and I wonder if it will work the same as the original kobo. Is it worth buying?

The Kobo uses same as MS Surface 3 & later without the extra BT button that some MS ones have. I've bought 3 brands of cheap pens (MS Surface3 & later) that use AAAA cells (more than 6 months use) and the two buttons and pressure tip work just the same as the Kobo pen (which I got with an Elipsa). Tested on 3 models of Kobo.

Are they the same? Could you share their brand and model? The Kobo stylus I picked up was the RENAISSER Raphael 520C Stylus Pen. It works great with the Kobo Libra Colour, but the erase and highlight buttons are swapped. The Metapen Stylus Pen M2 is a rebranded version of Kobo’s stylus, but it also swaps the eraser and highlight buttons.

I think all the Surface pens will be swapped. The official MS ones I have are.

I can't remember if the buttons swapped. Anytime I went to Amazon to buy another, the previous model was gone and I have to find another.

The pens have all gone to various people with Kobo Sage ereaders. One was branded Adrawpen and another U-Dikefo, I forget the 3rd. I might be getting back as the owner lost the Sage!

They all worked just as well as the original Kobo pen. In general an AAAA cell can last longer in a pen than the charge in many rechargeable pens (use and esp. standby). A good Alkaline AAAA can have a storage life of over 10 years in a cool place. Some Alkaline 9V PP3 packs use 6 cells similar enough to AAAA, except the nub is negative connection.
