To move the library

To move the library from D:\Documents\My Books\ to D:\My Books\ - various reasons. If I do this in my file manager (preserve timestamps), do I need to fix anything in the appdata folder?

Shouldn't have too. But rather than use a file manager, why not just move it?

At the command prompt

Code:

move "D:\Documents\My Books\"  "D:\My Books\"

should work. Note the quotes are needed due to their being spaces in the names.

Does change the creation time?

Just checked. The root "My Books" obviously gets a new time stamp but the directories and files inside only had the Accessed timestamp changed when moved from the command line.

I would suggest disconnecting the library from calibre, closing calibre, moving the library and then re-attaching to calibre.

Just found out that the calibre:// urls didn't update and make a blank metadata.db in the old locaiton. But that's the only thing.
