How to tell Calibre a search directory

Hello,

when connecting my new Galaxy tablet to the PC, Calibre always starts to check all files stored in the main directory and the SD card.

Since I have a lot of music files and many fotos stored on the SD card, it takes up to 5 minutes until this check is finished.

But all my ebooks are stored in one folder on the SD card, so I would like to set up Caibre that only this folder is checked, in order to shorten the "check for documents" time.

Could anybody tell me if and how that is possible?

Let it run, when it completes there will be 2 files written (calibre in name) on each found drive. Do not remove these as the have 2 functions. The match The Calibre that was connected at that time and where it found files.
This is the speedup used for later connections. You delete or move, it starts all over.

You can't edit the folder list on Calibre till after you have connected and an intial scan is done. So now if I get a new phone/tablet/SD Card I make a folder in SD Card called Books and connect to calibre before installing any apps, musric, video etc.
