Kobo Nickel default font extraction

I wanted to transfer some fonts, mainly the Kobo Nickel, from the main OS to KOreader. Is there a way to extract it or find it in the main directory? I can't find it in the hidden folders or anywhere from a google search. Seems it is not open source. Is there no way to get it outside of the Nickel OS?

It's probably encrypted so it'd be of minimal use. However, if you still insist, it's stored on the system partition which is in ext4 format. If you have an older or non-waterproof model, you can crack the reader open, extract the internal micro sd card and mount it under Linux to see the file system. Or figure out how to install and activate Telnet or ssh onto the reader and try to access the root file system remotely.

Just download the firmware update package unpack that. It won't help as it is encrypted, but, it's a lot easier than opening a device.

They're obfuscated/encrypted. No dice.

Just find a font similar to Kobo Nickel and use that instead.
