Viewing files

Hi

I'm new to the forum and to calibre.

I have a small ebook library imported into calibre. When I try to view an azw file by clicking the 'view' button calibre duplicates the file.

I'm obviously doing something wrong so pointers would be welcome.

Many thanks.

If you want calibre to view azw files go to Preferences->Behavior and tell calibre you want its internal viewer to view azw files. AZW files typically have DRM which is why calibre does not try to view them by default.

Thank you, that now works but I have another issue. If the file type is mobi calibre says there are no available formats. I have one book with mobi, prc and epub in its folder but calibre says there are no available formats.

Thanks.

I think I've fixed things now. I deleted the library and started again. All seems well.
