Mini has a better alternative? Which one? There is no 5" ereader and sorry, android phones are not an alternative.

7" is good for taking out of the house. 8"+ is too large. So what are we left with? Remember, when it was found out that the Libra 2 was being discontinued, it sold out very fast. That proves that 7" BW is the sweet spot.

How is 7" better for talking out of the house? It's not pocketable either (at least the Libra design) and it's close enough to 8" to be basically the same for most briefcases, backpacks and purses.

And we've been over this, the Libra 2 "selling out" when being discontinued doesn't prove anything. Kobo knew roughly how much Libra 2 was selling when they stopped production, knew roughly how many units were on the market/inventory and were able to time it so there was minimal left. If there was only 500 left when they were discontinued and "sold out very fast", that wouldn't be very impressive would it? It's not uncommon for the old product to get hard to find before discontinuation and replacement.

Why would I want my Libra 2 in a pocket when that's one of the most stupid things I could do with it. I carry my Libra 2 in by bag when I take it out of the house. I'm not risking it. I suggest never putting your Reading in a pocket in case it breaks. The Libra 2 cannot be replaced if it was to break.

Yeah, sure there's some people that prefer a 7" BW eReader. But again, the number left matters. Five people grabbing the last remaining five Libra 2s is not impressive. It's not proof there is real demand for a 7" BW Kobo.

I did buy a new bag. But it's way too large for out and about. It's more for traveling. It will hold most 17.3" laptops.
