Unexpected Editor behaviour with File preview open
In the calibre 8.5 Editor, when the File preview is open, unexpected behaviour occurs when editing an .xhtml file and its associated (linked) .js file:
- While editing the .xhtml file, upon automatic refresh of the File preview panel (which is triggered every few seconds), the cursor jumps to a different location in the editor tab, near the top of the file. This occurs on macOS Sequoia but not on Windows 11. - While editing the .js file, upon automatic refresh of the File preview panel, the tab focus switches from the .js file to the .xhtml file. This occurs on both macOS Sequoia and Windows 11. This behaviour is not apparent if File preview is not open. I have not checked on Linux. What am I missing? |

Neither of those replicate for me. Presumably your js file is doing something that breaks the JS used for integration between the preview panel and the editor. Again, let me emphasize, ebooks are not platforms for running arbitrary applications. Be conservative in what you try to do with JS.
