Regex rename help/examples?
I've hit a number of epubs recently where the filenames appear to be UUIDs or similar, and my previous experiences with Regex has been sporadic, so I tend to have to relearn everything every time I go to use it
![]() So epubs with a cover, a toc and 50+ chapters named helpful things like: OEBPS/Text/05cbbce8-ddc9-46ba-a426-51e4fb85dee9.html Which should be something more meaningful like: chapter_1,html Any pointers to a tutorial for how to use Regex Rename in this instance? ![]() Or is there a plugin that can do more rational renames on the files? I've spent half an hour searching the forums, but may just be using the wrong search terms. |

Check out the Sigil Users Guide about file rename based on a template. With it you should be able to rename a selected list of chapters with a count field at the end.

Thanks, that was actually a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.
