Hello.
I blocked any automatic download, but I got a message in Kindle for PC telling me there is a new version available. Being aware that the previous method worked only until version 1.17/1.19 and no further, I carefully did nothing, still I'd like to know whether it is "safe" to download this new version (or the ones to come), which I guess largely depends on how the "From KFX" plugin has been built. In doubt I will do nothing, but any additional information would be welcome. Thanks in advance. |

Thanks, that's what I've been using and am grateful for, but my question was whether it would work with Kindle for PC 2.4 or would be strictly limited to 2.3.

Edit: Though I do not show a K4PC 2.4 (2.3.5 70840 seems to be the latest version). Last edited by DNSB; 06-19-2024 at 01:13 PM. |

New unreleased versions of Kindle for PC are often made available to a limited number of users as an update when the app is opened. That has happened to me several times. That appears to be how Amazon does beta testing for that app.

Ah, I didn't realize you were already using 2.3.5. I'd say that no one but Amazon really knows. But they do seem content for the moment to keep only a certain few books under the DRM that DeDRM can't handle. You never know though, and they wouldn't even need an update to change that.

Kindle for PC version 2.4.0 (70904) is now being delivered by Amazon's Free Kindle Reading Apps download page. The file name is KindleForPC-installer-2.4.70904.exe.
