Kindle Scribe: no cover in lock screen
Hi,

I am at 5.16.2.0.1 firmware and using Calibre 7.11 (latest).
For sideloading books, I use azw3 format.
I see book covers in library but they are not being displayed in lock screen.
Books I downloaded from Amazon and some books I converted from EPUB to azw3 using old calibre version(I do not have the number) work fine.
Is this a known issue or is there a workaround?

Settings > Screen and brightness > show covers on lock screen

If it is side loaded book, there is a bug that removes the cover when Wifi is on and in sleep mode and you get that black screen with white frame and title of the book.

Do not confuse the two different problems that come up with Kindle covers. Disappearing covers in the library view are usually caused by the Kindle attempting to download cover thumbnails from Amazon's servers. Covers not showing up on the lock screen are usually due to the cover JPEG file containing metadata that the Kindle software does not like.

Hmm, this is worth looking into.
I will compare the JPEG differences between books.

The GIMP lets you edit all the metadata fields in a Jpeg when you export it.
