They attack anyone that goes too close to the nest, which can be a hundred feet away if it's especially paranoid... though some don't attack. |
They are very clan (family) orientated. We live opposite a park in leafy Applecross/Mt Pleasant by the Swan River and there are 4 clans around our house. Only one clan is aggressive and attacked our youngest daughter. That was several years ago now and I have not heard of any more attacks.
Council Rangers here take a dim view of maggies that swoop to much.
Regardless, my favourite place to read is in our lounge room with a suitable beverage
