I sometimes also do the one number off trick or just take down their number, so I can have time to decide if I really want to call them.
I just came home from a family gathering and I played with an iPad! Shiny new toy. I love it, and I want one. We didn't have enough time to figure out how to get a B&N book on it before they had to leave. It was actually smaller than I expected it to be. I want one, I want one, I don't really need it, but I want one.
