currently thinking to myself that despite appearances, sometimes paris is really too small. i just was in a tiny tiny neighborhood bar with some friends, when suddenly i hear a voice call my name : "is that you ???" i turned around, and it's a girl i haven't seen in about 15 years. we used to be quite good friends, or at the least we spent a lot of time together at the time. then we had a falling out. i really can't remember the details, but we didn't see each other at all after that. now i discover we've been neighbors for the past 10 years, she lives only 1 métro station away (what are the chances of that happening ??). she tells me she's so happy to run into me like this, she thinks about me often, and we absolutely must get together really soon and tell each other what we've done in the past 15 years. she insisted on taking my telephone number and she says she will call me. but the more i am thinking, the more it's coming back to me *why* i stopped seeing her, 15 years ago... and i don't really *want* her to call me.
