Okay, so today I got around to nicking the garden boxes from next door (they're marine-grade stainless steel) and hacking a chunk off one with the jigsaw and drilling a couple of holes to see if I could hook them over the back retaining wall for a herb garden. It works!

I've still got to do the rest, buy more if the hooks, and paint them, but we'll soon have the start of a herb garden.

The rest, with different hooks, will run along our bottom balcony, possibly with dwarf chilli plants in them:

This bit will hold some of the longer boxes (they're all different sizes) and go to that first big pole.

The Loved One also put some more postcrete in the holes of the uprights for the new side retaining wall, and we'll probably start on the horizontals on Tuesday. The top garden formed by that will get some hoop pine mulch and some more golden cane palms.

Cheers,
Marc
