I'm glad to hear you weren't blinded by the mishap.
It's funny what can pass through someone's mind when an accident like that occurs. Years ago, on a day before I had scheduled a day off to have some fun, I was at work crimping a lug onto a wire when the crimping tool broke and part of the business end of the tool shot off and struck me in the eye, causing a tear in the cornea. For a few minutes, I couldn't open the eye, and thought that eye was history. So what's the first thought that popped into my head? "Damn! I'm blind! ...
and I'm suppose to be on annual leave tomorrow!"
Everything's OK now, but it sure put a dent in my day off!
