So far so good. I can see a little out of my eye as I took the gauze off to put the drops in. I just know, that tape took a few hairs out of my eyebrows.
The patch is not much better. They did scare me about being blind, but I figure if I can see with it now, that it won't happen. I'm an adult, you'd think I wouldn't do such dumb things.

You don't have to wait, go for it.
I'm really going to hate not wearing eye shadow and mascara until this is cleared up. I can't have anything near my eyes that might introduce infection.

Thank you all for your concern, it was just my dumb mistake. I keep telling myself that if my vision isn't effected (or is it affected?) too much right now, that I should be OK. But, it really sucks that I have all this free time for reading and sitting out in the yard and I can't do it.
Thanks, Yvan! I do have my goggles for even doing lawns. My dad taught me well. I was just unlucky on the one time I didn't follow the rules.
