Wow... impressive. How is the 9TB configured? Is it a NAS of some kind or on a Windows Home Server machine? RAID?

What do you store on it?

I feel so small with only 2TB of external storage hooked to my iMac. a 500GB that holds backups and a 1.5TB that holds my digital media.

I am about to scan in all our photos soon though... so I might pick up another 2TB drive soon.

I have (still in the process) ripped all my DVDs. I encode them all as H.264 cause I really don't care about all the extras. Also for the TV show ones I want each TV show as its own file.

However, I don't plan to get rid of the DVDs, but do plan to move them to a less accessible place. This will give us more room on book shelfs for my Board Games and Video Games and the few books I decided to keep after going ebook.

I love the geeky posts!
