I enjoyed them. They might, perhaps, be classed as YA books now (& possibly then).

The action moves along swiftly, and the twists and turns are fun.

They're really more fantasy in a science fiction setting than actual science fiction, but that doesn't worry me.

Some loose ends get tied up by the end of the second book, but there's clearly room for sequels. I don't know off-hand if any were written. A sequel isn't required by the story though. Hey - that was my 60th book this year!

So let's pick another random choice from the pile. The First Expedition by Steve Jordon. The author's name seems familiar! But since it's a sequel, I'll read the first book instead. That's The Onuissance Cells by Steve Jordan.
